Stories have been a part of Laura's life from an early age. Listening to books on record from the Fords Library in the late 70's before she could read herself, Laura learned the impact of words and language. Book mobiles in New Jersey elementary schools continued to feed a thirst for reading and writing. Growing up, Laura managed her creative impulses by drawing, writing songs, poems and short stories. |

Multiculturalism and the stories that showcase the value of culture that make each of us unique is a motivation for much of Laura's writing. Just as important is Laura’s nonfiction platform. With a strong interest in how current events impact the multicultural community and women of color in particular, Laura hopes to shed light not only on the issues that affect them but on their many contributions to literature, media and history. The result is Sable Lit Reviews, an outlet for this exploration as well as a place where the multicultural literature in every genre can get the attention it deserves. Laura still lives in Arizona where she balances her writing interests in multicultural literature reviews, multicultural fiction and social interests. |
